Who's behind Caddyshack?
September 6th 2019
Hi There Caddyshackers!
Welcome to our blog and what better way to kick off than to introduce you to our funtabulous team.
First up we have Jennifer Farinella, aka: J Faz, Jen, TL (Team leader).
Jen has been leading the team for 12 years. Jen comes from a background in teaching, natural health, retail, tourism and local government.
Her eclectic career path brings a street savvy lens to health promotion. Jen loves to connect (you may have seen an email or 10 from her). If you haven’t signed up to her email list or monthly e-newsletter get on it.
Next up we have Naomi Viret, aka: Nomes, Nay. Naomi has been a member of the team for 11 years and works mostly in the Shoalhaven. Naomi loves working with young people to educate and empower them around all things sexual health.
An athlete in her younger years, Naomi still holds the record for 15 year girls Tripple Jump (that’s a hop, skip and a jump into a sandpit) at her old high school.
Now say hi to Maddison Stratten, aka: Maddy, Mads, Madstar.
Maddy has been a part of the team for 4 years now, working closely with our friends at Healthy Cities Illawarra. Maddy plays a big role in working with our Culturally Diverse community and has become a super star in her leading work and research around international students and their sexual health locally and around the State. Maddy loves spending time with her doggy Dora, the cutest Groodle you ever did see!
Last but certainly not least, we welcome the newest kid on our block Kaitlyn Middleton, aka: Kate, Katie.
Kaitlyn has been on the team nearly a year and works across both the Illawarra and Shoalhaven regions. Kaitlyn is all about being out in the community, meeting people and talking to them about sexual health.
Kaitlyn is our sporty spice, hitting up the footy field and hockey field in her spare time. A hidden talent… Although Kaitlyn is left handed, she can actually write with both hands!
You can expect to see a monthly blog here from us on subjects ranging from relationships to contraception. We will leave no stone unturned as we bring you trending sexual health stories and discuss our thoughts on these.
In the meantime, check out what we are loving and follow us on our socials Facebook, Instagram and Youtube.
But right now we are crushing on Taylor Swift because who doesn’t love a bit of Tay Tay? In all seriousness, she has taken on a social consciousness topic and turned it into a catchy pop song ‘‘You Need to Calm Down”. Dust off those crowns peeps, you deserve them! Remember, be kind because in the words of Tay Tay “shade never made anybody less gay!!!”
Peace, love and protection,
Caddyshack
