Yours & Owls Festival - Down To Test

October 2nd 2019

Hey Caddyshackers!

Grab your festival bag, get your cool kid sunnies, it is time to hit up the Yours and Owls festival in Wollongong this weekend! The line up is HUGE and the weather is looking hella fine.

Down To Test at Yours & Owls Festival

We will be there and are super keen to be a part of Down To Test (DTT) for the second year running.

For those (over 1,000) of you who were lucky enough to join us last year will know what Down To Test is all about.

For all you newbies or first time festival goers, Down To Test is next level! At Down To Test you can expect to be treated like a VIP and in return, all we ask for is a VIpee.

That’s right folks, knock down two birds with one stone!

In exchange for your VIPee (which we will send off for Chlamydia screening) you will get the full VIP experience with the cleanest portaloos EVA at a festival (um yeah, you know how BAD festival toilets can be!), as well as;

  • Phone charging stations

  • Glitter bar

  • VIP tent

  • Iced water

  • Chill out area

  • VIP toilets… did we say that already?

The Down To Test Festivals Project is all about taking STI testing to the crowds. Over 1,000 screens for Chlamydia were conducted at last year’s festival, let’s beat that record this year.

Why Chlamydia?

It is the most common Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) in young people aged 16-29. Often, it has no signs or symptoms and if left untreated it can cause infertility. So kind of a big deal.

For peace of mind, if you have been sexually active and had unprotected sex (sex without a condom), a pee in a cup is a fast, simple and private way to test for Chlamydia. Don’t wait for STI symptoms to get a test, pee in a cup this weekend and get your results via phone in the next two weeks!

Respect to Yours & Owls organizers for keeping it safe. #partywithapurpose

We are loving right now

This month we are totally crushing on Danzal Baker aka Baker Boy. Danzal was the young Australian of the year for 2019 and will be rapping out at the festival this weekend. Since Baker Boy’s debut single, ‘Cloud 9’ in 2017, he has become a multi-talented, multi-lingual artist, working across rap, dance and acting. He hopes to inspire younger generations to embrace their culture and become leaders in their communities (select music).  Danzal has been quoted saying "With love and respect, we have the power to shape the future."  What a guy!

Peace, love and protection
