Hi there Caddyshackers!

Weather is getting warmer, summer is just around the corner, festivals have begun and it is time for us to hit the beaches with Caddyshack.

Caddyshack in a nutshell (or a cool tent) is a mobile outreach chlamydia screening project and has been running in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven since 2013.

We recognized a need to increase the number of chlamydia screens in young people aged 16-29. We wanted to make it easy to access sexual health screening by eliminating cost, location, lack of transport, time and concerns around confidentiality.

Caddyshack goes to where young people hang out and offers a relaxed and engaging environment with the option to get a screen for Chlamydia by doing a wee in a jar at nearby public toilets.

Test results are given by the Illawarra Shoalhaven Sexual Health Service, within a week.
