Hi Caddyshackers,

It’s been a somber start to the year and we want to acknowledge that some of our followers have been deeply impacted by the events of the last few weeks and months.

We hesitated to post anything about what’s happening in our country, as like most people, we have been consumed with the heart wrenching footage from around Australia, bringing us to tears.

But we also couldn’t come back with an upbeat post about summer sex, business as usual, back to normal.

We are still in the middle of this and felt we needed to pause and acknowledge that while gently moving forward.

We were able to donate some of out "share affection, not infection" lip balms, hand sanitisers and sunscreen to the RFS care packs. A heartfelt thank you to all the firefighters and support services.

What we are loving right now is community spirit

There has been an overwhelming show of support and community spirit during the bush fires.

If you feel impulsed to support however you can, the ABC have a comprehensive list of services who have mobilized their incredible assistance.

Amidst the devastation there have been so many beautiful acts of generosity, kindness, strength and courage. Please be safe as we keep experiencing this unprecedented impact on our community.

We hope this message is received in the way that we humbly intend it.
